66 Cutlass Vert 4 speed back up light schematic

After reviewing the wiring schematic in my 66 service manual and several others I still have no clear picture of what is required in the wiring routing and a schematic of just the B/U light wiring. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Wayne

On an automatic it runs from the neutral safety switch through the body harness under the carpet to the trunk. I looked on a 67 Chevelle schematic and it shows a switch at the trans, then it goes through the firewall bulkhead connector, and then to the body harness into the trunk.

The link works for me but try this and click on technical articles and then 67-69. I'm assuming the 66 is the same.

The standard floor shift layout is in the PIM/assembly manual. It's in the electrical section I believe.

Mike, I found it. I need to get the parts and lay it out and I am sure it will make more sense. Step two will be to drop the rear bumper and install the harness from the bumper to the trunk. Need also the rear bumper filler sets. Next the switch install and the harness extension kits need to be ordered. Thanks for the help for now.

I think I have a new repo reverse light harness that you need. I may have a used one if i don't have the repo. There some clips that hold the harness to the body flange that you will also need and I probably have those as well.

Mike, I have the harness that goes on the rear behind the bumper. I picked that up at the OCA meet in Northern Ohio if that is what I think it is. From the B/U lights to the trunk. I have very nice B/U lights installed that came with the car.Thats all I have. I would be interested in anything else you may have for the project. No rush at your leisure.
Thanks
Wayne

The switch is mounted on the four speed trans, with a link to the reverse lever which has a small hole for that link. Iirc, I have a nos switch if you can't find one.
