1960 Super 88 Convertible

We have built chevs in the past and know where to source everything we need but our beautiful olds is a little harder. We have had it for 18 months, it has done more kilometers since than it has done in the last 20 years. I am amazed how well an original untouched engine (394) complete with 40+ years of caked oil and grime purrs on without missing a beat. We did some serious work on the brakes to make it safe It now pulls up like like any modern 2 tonne car. However the trim needs redoing and all the rubbers need replacing.

We re a little nervous ordering overseas trims Has anyone had any experience with SMS Auto fabrics?

And the engine mounts are jelly does anyone know where to source new ones it has a 394 Olds engine with three mounts?

Hi, is that MisterS055 or Missus055? welcome to the site. try Fusicks or Kanter Olds. They both have websites and good stuff for our little loved ones.

Yes Its Misses 55

Ive got a 1955 Chev I have some fun with at a few shows and driving events, I had custom plates to stop people assuming it was my husbands car (he has his own). It doesnt work. I am really tired of peoples first comment "Gee your lucky he lets you drive this" I organised most of the building I clean the cars and maintain the cars my husband is lucky to ever get behind the wheel. Its mine!
By the way Im considering MRS 060 for the olds (same problem).

Yeah, I hear ya, this hobby is still pretty chauvanistic I guess. My son rebuilt his '64 394 engine and got everything from Kanter Olds. He said they are a little more reasonable than Fusicks.
