1955 Olds Super 88 VIN tag and body tag decode
#2
Well, you already know it's a 55 S-88 holiday coupe.
I can tell you the paint codes indicate a "special" 2-tone of Alcan White front/upper over Turquoise Poly lower/rear.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the interior trim codes and I'm not familiar enough with the 50's cars to know what the 3 and K3 accessory codes are.

Aha! ...found this post from a few years ago with a search of the site. It explains the acc. codes:
Olds Dad, Item #3 could be for accessory group (or package) number 3 (from dealer show-room book), which included heater & defroster, deluxe radio, rear seat speaker, windshield washer, deluxe steering wheel, clock, tilting rear view mirror, autronic-eye, oil filter, exhaust tip deflector, visor mounted vanity mirror, and lights for backup, hand brake warning, front seat courtesy, trunk, underhood and glovebox. Rear fender panels (skirts) are also listed in this group but with the tear-drop rear fender cutout on the Holiday sedans, it probably was not actually included.
Also, from an Olds factory car and accessory price list dated Nov. 3, 1954 the following:
K3: padded instrument panel
U2: 4-way electric seat adjuster
U4: electric window lifts (4 windows)

What are these 55 super 88s worth in today's market. The condition is a legit between #2-#3 condition. Interior, engine and undercarriage are excellent with engine and tranny rebuild. Paint is about a 7-8 out of a 10---he car is beautiful. I think I can buy it for $25K--is that a good deal?

Hard to tell without being there and seeing it but you would spend all of that if you had it built or a little less if you did some of the work yourself, Holidays are getting to be very popular and they aren't building any more of them....Tedd
