Picked up some Chrome non hole spoke rims in the weekend, tryed to test with some little polish to see how it can be...

Will swap over the 275/60 tires from my black soft rims, and they Will have new 295/50 tires in rear i guess.

In front of thw Chrome rims 245/60, its ok to have some pair extra wheels anyway

Better than it was, still dirty around on driverside cause of Oil leak with the years, but again it have protect from rust. And get the rust away from the tranny cooling lines too. Just some fast work.

Today i removed some wires in engineroom.. And took off the short type waterpump and installed watertemp and alternator bracket... Continue tomorrow.

Look at this ****!? The servo pump brackets and pulley dont fit at all with the other pulleys how ever i try, so i install it like it was on the 307 engine, the spacers is not use at all, the pump is to much in front but in same time crash in the aluminum alternator bracket on top..it eating up the alternator pulley over time with one v-belt only.

Maybe i will weld a new alternatorbracket to get the alternator more back.. When i see my friend buick lesabre with olds 307 i see how the setup was with thev-belt and same alternator bracket And it work fine.... And with me all just crash, bleeeeh. Stupid brackets.

Anyway the engine is ready to go in the car again.

Seeing as the A/C isn't fitted and the brackets you have are wrong, why not mount the alternator on the passenger side?.
The alternator should be driven from the water pump pulley only, sounds crazy I know but that is how it is designed, belt slipping is a common problem if the A/C compressor belt is removed.

Yes i know it should be like that, i see that setup on my friend buick with 307,but with same alternator bracket And on same side, the point is the car have not a/c and the 307 is not the orginale engine for the car but a 350ci after the diesel engine, lol. and i dont know what brackets and pulleys old owner have used on the 307 before.

The alternator v belt should be on the outher grove on the waterpump pulley, and the servo belt on the middle grove and around the crank pulley to servopulley, but i will try to remove the alternator bracket or cut it thinner, cause the servopump crash in it from behind, so maybe i can get the servo pulley more back and have own rope on it.. and maybe make a new bracket for alternator on the other side, cause this make me so confused, lol. Same as the lower alternator bracket dosent fit at all... maybe the servo bracket is wrong too..or i will modify it, would be the best.

At least i have no slipping problem with the only 1 v belt drive i have used the last months, but it eating up alternatorwheel. So i need to find another solution on this mystery..

Finally done with the headers part.. Modifying the tranny crossover next, isolated the starter cables as well from exhaust heat, and Will install a heatshield on the starter too..,

Need to burn of the black coat when startup cause its only for rust protect, will go over with heat resistant paint after.

New videoclip, today i set the timing on idle about 12 degrees advance before the cable on the old timing gun fall off...bleh... and adjusted the idle, no nessesary to use the choke now, starts up right away too and works ok. Good engine.

Will doubble check the timing after i have fix the cables.. But think i will begin on thw exhaust now since it at least runs ok.

The Battle Flag of the Republic is ubiquitous at UK shows too. And everyone is a Redneck.

Strange, because the flag flyers mostly refer to their cars as "Yanks", and confuse Redneck with Hillbilly too.

But what the heck, they are having a heap of good natured fun, they paid to go to the show and I like to look at their cars.

Some more random old updates, the car have now 245/60-15 in front on 8x15" 4bs and 295/50-15" on 10x15" with cutted and welded bs from 4 to 5" so the tire comes under the fender, fits perfect.

I found out the engine wouldn`t start, found out that the gas hose back with the gastank was very bad and suck air..

random

TH375 before teardown.

Collected some parts a year ago from another delta88, so got a good rearbumper without holes, removed rust and painted the frame of the bumper and the lower chrome chassie inside, now its only this two parts left. Surfing on ebay today and order wentshades, weatherstrips in and outside etc.. cant wait to test it.
