71 delta 88 conv in junkyard

I found a 71 Delta 88 convert. in the junk yard last week. It has not been licensed since 1990. It was complete but every body panel was junk.

It has some factory wheels I had not seen before.

The 455 was complete.

I could get pieces off of it for a fair price if some one needed anything.

I am going back to that yard next week on my day off.

Let me know.

Brian

The 455 was complete. I thought about pulling it for a complete spare but I already have more 455s than I will ever have cars.

The interior was complete but shot.

I could get pieces off of it for a fair price if some one needed anything. This yard has always been good to work with.

I am going back to that yard next week on my day off.

Let me know.

Those wheels are pretty rare and look to be in good shape. Someone will want them.

Floors are shot sat out to long in the open. I have a few to many toys so it is not for me, but I would be happy to put anyone in touch with the yard. It is called Amen East in Bagdad Ky They don't sell whole cars to often but you never know.
I could not comment on the frame but when the sit out that long probably rusty. It had an Ohio plate on it so it was a northern car.

Super Stock IV wheels were made by Motor Wheel for Olds. Offered only on 88's in the early 70's (71-72 I think), they are quite rare and definitely worth saving.

If you look at the third picture that is the pass side front. I can't tell from the pictures I took if it is bent or not. I missed that corner.

If it is still good and not bent I'll grab it for you.

Roger. Re: front headlight bezel. Check and see if your DS one will fit the PS. Maybe it would work if you flipped it horizonally??

Ah, I knew there was a reason. So except for the alignment slots, are they basically the same? If It comes down to that and you end up with 2 drivers side ones, just do the alignment with the bezel off and then pop it back on. Glad someone is finally able to get that for you. You want I should take Ma, Vinnie and da boys out to Stoney and have a friendly 'chat' wit dat numbskull what's been givin youse da song and dance??

The trunk lid is rusted out along the whole lower edge and the trunk lock was punched out by a monkey with a sledge hammer.

I will check on the taillights when I get there. I am going Tuesday, weather permitting.

Also... snag the "sharks gill" trim pieces behind each door. I believe they're put on with barrel nuts so put a screw driver behind each one and gently pry. That's another limited option item that's not reproduced. John

Those are 15" Standard size for 71 Delta 5X5 Pattern. They won't work with your new LSS though. It's a 5 X 115 (or 4.52")

Excellent! Those wheels on that Delta will fit Olds B body right up to 1984 I believe.

The front end has been hit, The rear has rusted thru and has damage so the bumpers are not saveable neither are the fillers.

All of the body panels are rusted out or damaged.

Sorry no luck with this one.

I have a line on a 1980 Cutlass, so those wheels would not work.

I don't know on interchange with these cars

I could pick up the wiper and top switches next week if I can get out to the yard.(one hour away)

Before I do that some one would need to let us know if they are the same. I would hate to go to the trouble to get you a part that you can't use.

I am going to pick up the tail light lens so it wont be a problem.

Does it have the original convertible top. If so I would like the original stainless trim pieces that help hold the rear plastic or window section in place. They are two small triangular shaped pieces that mount to the top of the convertible top ahead of the rear window. Repplacement tops would use stainless trim pieces that are a plain rounded triangular button. Originals will have a beveled edge around the outside. Small parts but i would appreciate it

thanks

Called today to see if they had the rear left side arm rest courtesy light. They crushed the whole car last week because it was big and heavy. Made me sick!

Yeah, but don't forget that this is a very old thread dated back to April 2012. Most yards would have crushed it long before now.
