usa parts has them for the 64 all v8 300 and 330 engines for $38.58. www.usapartssupply.com 1-800-872-2013. might also check with www.nosgm.com. im surprised that your local auto parts store cant get them. if those dont work you might pick up a hemmings catalog and go through the section covering oldsmobiles. im sure you could find something there. chris

Easier to get a rebuild kit from Egge Machine and rebuild the one you have.

It sounds like you need to get the car running in a hurry...I would buy a universal electric pump that you could mount to the frame near where the factory mechanical fuel pump is. With a power signal switched on by the ignition and a ground, you would be back in business. NAPA and other larger automotive stores sell pumps like this. Just be sure it does not supply too much pressure...I would guess a factory carb would not like more than 8-9psi (just my own guess).

Best of luck.

Put the electric pump back near the fuel tank, electrics push not pull. And put a switch in the 12 volt line to the pump for safety purposes.

I forgot that electric fuel pumps push. OldsGuy is correct - mount the electric pump near the tank.

Check out Fusicks and Kanter. They will probably also have what you want. Also, I have heard good things about the rebuild kits for mechanical fuel pumps. I have never used one of the rebuild kits, but a mechanical fuel pump is a simple device. I don't think it would be too difficult.

Fusick's lists the correct fuel pump for your '64 in their catalog. A few other places to call are:

Arizona Vintage Parts 800-433-977
GM Obsolete 602-253-8081
Terrill Mechine 254-893-2610

Best of luck.

You need to be sure and get one that has been rebuilt with materials that tolerate modern fuels. Otherwise the diaphrams will disintegrate very quickly. Stay away from high-priced NOS units for the same reason.

What motor is in your car I might have one if it's a 394 and does not need the vacuum part. I bought it by mistake when looking for one for my 61 with delux heater.
