hub cap sizes
have a question for anyone out there. i have a 1965 dynamic 88 w/ 14 inch rims. I picked up a set of 14inch hubcaps that came off a 1975 oldsmobile. I tried to put them on my rims, but they won't fit. the new hubcaps measure 14 1/2 inches across where they snap on to the rim. My rim measures 13 1/2 where the hubcaps would snap on. Does anyone know if they used different size 14 inch rims in the 60's verses the 70's. thanks

the more i thought about it. I think the guy told me wrong on these hubcaps. im thinking they go on 15 in rims since they measure 14 1/2 inch. does this sound right.

I think most '75 Oldses, other than the Omega, used 15 inch wheels.

you are right. the hubs i had were off a 75 olds and were 15inch. I took them back where i got them today and looked through some others and found five nice 14inch hubs off a 64 olds 88. I put them up to my rims and they fit fine. thanks for the reply paul
