Hello I am new to the site. Just bought a 1965 dynamic 88 and tring to learn some things about. I got lots of questions. New to Oldsmobile and new to restoration. Thanks for such a wonderful forum.

Welcome to the Oldsmobile community. I can remember a tv Olds commercial with Shorty Powers demonstating the 65 425 Eighty eight acceleration.
Shows him smoking the tires and in the next scene you see the needle racing across the speedometer. Quite a daring commercial then.

I really hope I can get this to that point again. lol
I have been having fun looking up old brochures and the like
I wish there was somewhere to go on the internet where i could see that commerical I think that would be great.

A search for "Shorty Power 66 Dynamic 88 Olds commercial" only produced a brief description or wanted you to buy a block of commercials. It is in a lot of archieves but not accessible via free downloading. I tried. Maybe you can come up with somthing. Like I said, it is pretty bold.
