PS for '58 Super 88

Like to add PS to my '58 manual steering Super 88 (what on earth were they thinking - it has power brakes though!!), and do have access to a '57 98 parts car that is complete... it has has essentially the same 371 4 bbl engine, trans and chassis. What parts would I need to scavenge from it for my car, besides the pump, hoses, and slave unit on the lower column. Do I need the whole column? Pulleys? Other parts?
Thnx in advance for assistance.
Roger in central upstate NY

Well, you would certainly need a pulley on the engine that accepts the PS drive belt.

You will certainly need the complete column.
You will also need to change most of the steering linkage .
Pitman arm , idler arm , steering arms , to name a few .

Are you calling the steering box, the slave unit? Just take everything you see that the drive belt touches and the hoses attach to.

What you're saying is he doesn't need the steering column... Huh

The manual steering has a one piece steering column with steering box.
The power steering has a separate column and steering box separated by a "rag" joint.

Believe that the manual steering column is one piece is correct, I just can't find the part #s in the '51 to '59 factory parts book to confirm it.
I've got the PS pump, steering box, joint, plus the relay rod and its attached arms off of the '57 parts car so far.
