8.75 rear end

hi, i was told i had the 8.75 odd ball rear end ,and that there is nothing available to make it a posi,with better gears, right now ,323.peg leg.is in 65 starfire, i read some of the other posts ,that say i have a pontiac rear end ,so do i look for that ,or any input would be appreciated, thanks will.

It should be an 8.875 Pontiac manufactured rearend. 10 bolt cover with a 12 bolt carrior. Parts are hard to get. Used from 65-70 only and a simular style used from 71-76. Check with the Pontiac boards to confirm this and you may get lucky and find you a carrior.

Question thanks dennis

i want to be able to have as much power from 0-60, as i can get ,what would be the best gears to look for ,and i heard that the 65 to 70 olds can only go to 343. i want like 390,s i think , what will that do for me ,or should i go for more? thanks to all ,will.
