i am looking for a rear end to throw in my car, i'd like to buy something for cheap and rebuild it. i'm thinking about a chevy style 12 bolt, becuase of the availability of parts. it is a 69 cutlass S convertible, it had the original O type in there and i ripped it out and put a 10 bolt open rear end from a 66 buick wildcat.

If you're going to flog on the car, I would put the O type back in. It does not use C clips and was a little beefier. If you want easy, put a GM corporate 10 bolt in there. Parts a plenty and they can be found under all late 71-72 A and A Special cars.
