Hi all. Im new and need advise. I am restoring a 1971 442 clone convertible and have discovered a completely rusted out cowl. So bad that the lip or pinchweld where the bottum of the windshield rests on is gone.
Does anyone know if after market metal is available already stamped and contoured or is the only solution free form welding. i spoke to a few body shops who say soeone probably makes such a metal. Any advise is greatly appreciated. thanks |

Go to www.realoldspower.com and PM a guy named 70post. He went through that last year and can give you all the dirty details.

Betcha. I like the Olds "circle of friends" more than other car groups I have been a part of.
Thanks for not deleting my post because I referenced another Olds website. That has happened to me more than once on another board that shall remain nameless. C.J. OK...it was 442-dot-bomb. ![]() |
