Post 66 cutlass data plate decoding

I'm gonna start by apologizing if I missed it but is there a thread/ sticky that has a chart on how to decode the data plate on these cars? I see a bunch of ppl doing what I'm doing and asking the collective inteligence what these tags mean but it would be awesome if we had a chart... Anyways I have a 66 cutlass ? That I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have so I can restore it to what it's SUPPOSED to be.. It has a dash that says f85 and a pile of emblems saying cutlass and cutlass supreme... Now keep in mind I'm new to the Oldsmobille scene and from what I gather I have a Holliday coupe... But as I said I'm not sure... The tag on the firewall says

07c
St 66-33817 8f08127 body
Tr 987 Mc Paint

Hopefully someone can help meals sence of this thing... Anyways she's getting stripped for paint now and so far so good. Thanks in advance guys! And drive safe out there!

Hello James,

Welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find a wealth of knowledge on here. I was asking the same questions just over a year ago too.

There are a lot of past messages on the topic, try the search function up top and there is a real good chance you will track it down.

I was just stripping the trim off my '66 earlier tonight to get ready for paint too.

Good luck,

Larry

Kinda depends on condition. I copied this from Collector Car Market Review.

Personally I really like them but then that is what I have. I think it would be hard to get more than 10k for a base f85/cutlass.

I use that guide as a base line too. Everyone will say it's whatever the buter is willing to pay but auction data etc. is useful. I've always thought it was strange the wagons come in higher in value slightly. Is it due that they may be harder to find?

That's my guess plus being a Vista Cruiser, glass top.
