Big photos are always GOOD!
I like to be able to see the details...

That is one nice looking car!
It is great to see big American classics in other countries, too. I only saw one old Cadillac in London when I was there 3 years ago...

You could use the "manage attachments" button and download a picture from your PC. Then only a thumbnail will appear on the thread. Clicking it will open a larger image, yet smaller than the one shown now.

I am assuming that when you link them from another site (NOT using 'manage attachments'), they are not actually stored on the forum. Or not?? Maybe an admin can answer this.

Actually it's pretty easy.
1. Save the file to a location - usually My Pictures
2. Open the picture
3. Right clik the mouse.
4. Open using the windows picture manager
5. Clik on the Edit picture tab, or use your drop down to do the same thing.
6. Select 'resize"
7. Choose the size you want.
8. save your changes.
9. Close your picture / window.

Now you can post it in a thread.
Choose "Go advanced".
Press the paper clip icon for attachments to insert the picture. The web page will automatically give you 5 boxes at the top that you can use to insert the picture.
Press "Browse" and find your picture.
Press "open" (it will direct the path of the picture to the website) You can upload 5 pictures all at once. Just repeat the process to locate the pictures you want.
Press "Upload". It might take a little while to do this. If any of your pictures are too big, the website will reject them. Just go back and resize them a little smaller.
Bada bing, bada boom it's there on your thread in smaller format.

Ok, NOW I WANT TO KNOW
something from you. How did you insert such a honkin big picture in this thread. I wanted to do that with my car but it exceeded the size limits I can post. C'mon back?

Here's a tip. Right click on his photo and select 'Properties' and remember or copy some portion of the image. I used 'photobucket'. Now click on 'View' at the top of your browser and select "Source". That will get you the hypertext code for the web page. From there click on 'Edit' and select "Find". Type in the portion of the image name from above. You should be able to find the code used to post the photo pretty quick.

Or simply upload your large photos to photobucket. After the photo is saved at Photobucket site the addresses for various formats will be listed below the photo. Simply copy & paste the address in your post. The site adds the proper code. Or at least it has for me.

Sorry, I don't have any large photos saved.

Heck, those are big enough for me. BTW that 67 could be the brother of the one I learned to drive with back in 1970. Only ours was shiny and had all its parts. (hehehe) Yours got the 330 and 2 speed power glide? Man, that car would go like a scared rabbit when you punched it. Fond memories.

Thanks for the sizing tip. I'll see if I can make it work for me.

The orange 70 (demo photo) belongs to a fellow I bought my other 67 from. It has a 330 w/ 2 speed Jetaway trans. The black one in the photo has the same, but the motors bad. I've got a 350 I'm thinking of rebuilding for it. It's a little disassemble because it's at the local Community College where I'm working on the body.

I know what you mean about the 330/2 speed being a good combo. I had a 66 Cutlass in 74/75 and the 289 Mustang guys hated it. They couldn't believe my 'big' Cutlass would beat little Mustang in a street race.

You can try your photos by "Go Advanced" then 'Preview Post' to see how they''ll look before you post them.
