1970 Bumper
What price should i sell my 1970 Cutlass bumper with with lenses. Its on my 72 cutlass right now and id like to sell everytihng i wont need when i buy a 72 bumper. Are the bumper brackets the same? Or does my car have 70 bumper brackets right now since it has 70 bumper even though its a 72. So what should i put as a selling price? Its in fair shape no dents but does need to be rechromed.

It's your bumper. You decide. I don't think these are a high demand bumper. BTW you never said whether this bumper has the factory cutouts for dual exhaust. Those are more desirable and would likely sell at a slightly higher price. If you've priced out a new 72 bumper, you should have a good idea of how much you want to get out of the old '70 one. Lenses included in the package are a nice touch, but they are pretty easy to get as repros. Some places still have NOS on these. The mounting brackets should be the same for this bumper as in 1971/72 because the only thing that really changed is the lenses went horizontal in 71/72. 1970 they should be vertical.
Keep the rock guards that protect the lamp housings, back up lights & buckets, tag lights, and mounting bolts: you'll need them on your 72. You'll also need to get exterior/interior lenses for 72. If your car is a driver, you can get the whole assembly (buckets, harness, inner and outer lenses) pretty cheap. Most just need cleaning and some argent paint for appearances. Allan R |

Hi, here's something that I found looking through my ebay search. Don't know if you can use it. It's the 72 taillight assemblies that I was referring to. Sometimes they come in a bundle like this.
