Finally found one

In my junker patrols, I've finally come across a 68 vintage Cutlass, chillin in somebody's back yard. I have yet to snap any pictures, and all I could see was the rear end...has the vertical tail lights. Looks to be in decent shape...but I'm worried it may have had a vinyl top, as the top appeared to be a different color, and i'm afraid it could be rust...but It was too far away to tell for certain.

Pray that it's some little old lady that shares the same mindset as J's nice little old cookie baking lady, and happily hands the keys to me in exchange for a crisp $100 bill and a nice conversation about how JFK is still the president. =)

Bwahaha!!
Don't go robbing old ladies.
I hope you get it though.
Once you do, you will undoubtedly need a second job as well.

I hope you are able to buy the car at an agreeable price. Good luck.

A 68 Cutlass would have horizontal tail lights...the 69's are more vertical....

yeah i don't know what year it is for sure, all I know is it's of the 68 vintage....and I've wanted one for years.

I'd even scrap my land yacht plans for one.

Sorry to hear the thing's a more door...
What shape is it in? If it's in primo shape and you can get it
cheap...part it out! You'll be close to getting your '68 a lot sooner.
Good fenders alone are worth at least $350 a piece.
Used grills in good shape always fetch good money.
Bumpers, lenses, interior, hood, rad, engine, trim...
It could ad up quick.

I aggree with Rallye, check it out. Shoot if you could drive it around a little it would be like advertizing. Even to part out, or save some parts for trading. Ya never know.

possibly, it would just depend how much I could land it for. It's not worth it to pay $500 for something and part it out for $600, i'll spend the extra $100 on beer in the time it takes me and Josh to tear her apart, hahaha.

The whole idea is to try to blow as much money on the cars now, while I'm in college and have extra money (it'll make sense in a second)...before I end up with another girlfriend, or worse yet married, or worse even still have kids, when i have no money to spend on my toys and have a nagging woman yelling at me to "sell that piece of S*** oldsmobile, you can't afford to drive it anyway."

Oldsmobiles aren't just for driving...it's nice to sit in a lawn chair on a hot summer day, drinking beer, and admiring the beauty of it as it sits in your yard/driveway/side of the house/strategic neighborhood location....Also to guard the tires from stray dogs that need a conveniant outdoor latrine.

1968 4 door

So are you in dry country? If that has rust free body parts you could make some money on it. The front clip will fit a 2 door car, then the rear deck lid is the same as a convertible. Bumpers, grill, dash, radiator shroud, underhood parts are the same as 2 door. If the plastic headlight surrounds aren't broken up people would wait in line to buy them. I would check it out if it were near my home! Then again I'd rather turn wrenches than watch TV, so tinkering is recreation for me

Of course you would also need a place to store the car if you were to part it out.

I have a place to store it, but I'm currently out of storage in that place to store it, haha.

A 92 plymouth laser, a 91 eagle talon, and an 85 jeep cherokee are currently in the shop.

Lewiston isn't exactly dry, but it may still be worth taking a look at.

Use the laser from the Plymouth as a welder

Wtf u doin with that thing?!?! Ghost riding it off of some gravel piles in the quarry I hope.

Although, those Lasers looked cooler than 99% of other cars in 1992 unfortunately.

......... the obligatory junk picture

Rumor has it that the crumple zone was hit by a tumbleweed going 5 miles per hour
