parts for '93 Convertible?

I have a '93 convertible with the 3.4. I need some parts but, as you know, factory parts are very limited. I was told that many of the parts are not only model specific but also year specific. Does anyone know for sure? If not, what are the crossover years? Thanks for your expertise!

I am not sure; however, I would think that parts for a 93 Olds convertible would only cross over with Olds convertibles of the same generation. BTW, is it an Achieva or a Cutlass? I don't think GM made any other convertibles that shared the same body and drive train of the Cutlass/Achieva in the early 90s. You could probably get interior pieces, lenses, and front body panels off of a 4 door.

parts for my '93

Thanks for suggestion. It is a Cutlass. I haven't tried Achieva parts but I'll check into it. The 4-door parts don't work. Thanks again.

Yeah, the 4 door Cutlass and 2 door Cutlass Convertible weren't very similar. Good luck.

Parts are DEFINATELY rare...

I have a 91 Convertible. Paid 135 for it, and towed it home. Need(s) lots of work. What I know of the cars is 88-91 are all the same(nothing changed). 92-95 were the same also. I think the only difference in those is the 24 valve engines. If you come across any 91 parts, specifically a convertible boot in grey, send me an email. I was hoping I wasnt the only person here with an Olds newer than 1980.

Uh, the Achieva is certainly not a Cutlass. The convertibles were based on the W-body Cutlass Supremes. The Achieva is a follow-on to the N-body Calais.

I need help finding weatherstripping for the drivers door and rear windows.

I am also looking for a new rag top - prices vary, and what are the differences? I need the glass rear window w/defroster.
Also if anyone know anyone reliable in Connecticut for installation of a convertible top - please email me -
my baby has to be ready for summer
Thanks,
pat
