70-72 decklid interchangibility?
Which body style's trunk lid fits a 1970 Cutlass S hardtop? Will the Supreme/convertible type fit? How about a four door? Or am I limited to finding a good used one from a hardtop or Sport Coupe?

I realize they're all A-bodies, but you can't put Supreme or convertible quarter panels on a hardtop. That's why I'm asking if the decklids are different.
Chevelles are also A-bodies, but you can't swap sheetmetal at random with a Cutlass. |

Ok, so thats why you asked about trunk lids? I dunno, you want info about quarter panels, just ask, I was responding to a trunk lid.

Deck Lids
The three different deck lids or trunk lids for 1970-72 were: 1) Cutlass S and F85 & 442 hardtop or post cars, 2) Cutlass Supreme, 3) Cutlass convertible & Cutlass 4 door. So you will need to find one from the first group, the Supreme and 4 door won't work. John

Yeah.. I forgot they made the supreme a notchback, in 69 it was a fastback too.. In 70 they changed it.
