Question Headers etc for 71 Cutlass S

Hi, I have been told that due to the frame/motor location of my 350 that no one makes headers for this year. Does anyone know where I can locate headers if they exist?
2. I am also looking at an ignition upgrade from the points/condenser, which brand works better for the 71 350 (gold).
3. Lastly, I have replaced the carb/intake with the Edelbrok Performer and 600 carb. If I replace the cam, what degrees, etc should I be looking at for the best balance between an increase in performance and a reduction in fuel consumption.
This is my summer cruiser, if the snow ever melts, so my power concerns are the 0 to 5500 rpms.
Thanks for your help.

This is an urban legend and the parts vendors just won't let it die. Any header that fits a 70-72 Cutlass will fit a Cutlass S, Cutlass Supreme and Vista Cruiser. The frame/ mount locations are the same as far as the things that matter for installing headers. The is no frame offset. The only thing you may have to move is the brake proportioning valve on the driver's side if you have a 455 car - with a 350 car that will not be an issue. Hooker Super Comps, Kooks, and other ones are available that will fit and there are tens of thousands of them out there installed in '71 350 Cutlass S cars.

As far as HEI goes, I've used Pertronix Ignitor setups on several of my 350 cars with good results. It lets you keep the stock distributor and air cleaner too if you choose to do so.
