1972 cutlass supreme
i am new to oldsmobile after recently bying a 1973 regency 98 and a 1972 cutlass supreme. i was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions on what i paid for the cutlass. The truck is really rusted as well as the driver side floor, the drivers window is smashed, and the car has rust all along the bottom edges. It has a 350 in it with the tranny and the previous owner claims that it runs but it has no ignition. I paid $600 for this project car. Did i get a decent deal?

Project cars are funny animals...only you can really decide if it was a good deal and usually only later.
Project cars are a journey...not a destination. (Tao of Old Cars) Floor pans can be pretty easily replaced. Repops are plentiful. Glass is pretty easy to find, too. Almost everything on your car will swap with 71 and quite a lot with 70. What model Cutlass? Supreme? S? base model? Bench or buckets and console? Sport steering wheel? A/C, Power brakes, front discs? Power windows/seats? Cruise control, tilt steering, etc? How bad are the sill plates? Any other body cancer, bubbling paint, or bad bodywork? Bad leaks underneath? Tail pipe(s) oily inside? What do you mean "no ignition"? And where are you located? C.J.

Sounds more than reasonable for $600.
What do you mean "no ignition"? It makes it easier for everyone if you put your location in your profile. C.J.
