Pulley Problems Continue
Have a 72 Olds with a 455, the prior owner put in mondello reductions pulley. Having a terrible time trying to get back to stock so the alternator will work.
I have a 6" water pump and found a water pump pulley that is 3.75' with 3 guides the first 2 guides are 5.5" in diamater and the 3rd is 6.5". The 6.5" is to large to fit the crank pulley. Do they make a water pump pulley that all 3 guides are 5.5"? If yes, how do I find one? thanks, Scott |

I may have one I can sell. It is very rusty and in need of a sand blasting. I will dig it out of the shed when I get a chance to see of it is the right one.

The catalog shows a 3 groove 5.75 inch pulley #409807 for a '72 V8 with C.A.C. or heavy duty cooling.
The balancer 3 groove pulley for 1972 w/ C.A.C. or Y72 heavy duty cooling is 7.949 inches in diameter and is #409806. My catalog is newer and doesn't show '71 but my '71 Vista Cruiser with a 350 and A/C are the same diameters and three groove. |
