Wheels, grille & letters
I just bought a '72 Supreme. First of all, what should the grille pattern look like? 2nd, what range of years will SSII wheels fit? Are the bolt patterns and offsets compatible over a particular number of years? And last, is the OLDSMOBILE lettering on the trunk suppsed to be on all '72 models? Used to own a '70 SX, so I'm kinda out of the loop on later models. Thanks....Chumley

New 72 supreme grills on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-...spagenameZWD1V SSII wheels will fit just about any rear drive cutlass and would have been a factory option for your car. The separate "OLDSMOBILE" lettering is correct for your 72.. Good luck with your car! Chad |

Thanks for the info- Actually my trunk does not have the letters. I think the lid was replaced at some point. It was in a rear end collision at one time, the bumper is bent in slightly on the bottom. Also the grille is not a '72 Supreme, the ribs are horizontal, and the emblem on the hood is the 'S' and not the rocket. Oh well, the car is otherwise solid and complete. Just need to fix these anomalies. Chumley
