Drop me an email with your VIN and I can give you the details for your car. I have the list of all the 83 H/O VINs from a report run in 1983 with original owners, dealer (number, not name), and the production sequence number.

Smile 1983 hurst olds

Hi All,
Newbie here,
I have a question about these cars...
I'm thinking about purchasing one of these
Cars..I've searched the web and found out
some info on them ....The particular car that
I'm looking at has 27000 miles on it in average shape.
I has T-tops, Vinyl interior and crank windows...
I've been only able to find one with vinyl and
cranks.....is this car very rare? Any Idea on Value?

Thanks to all
Martin

Hey guys. I'm new to the site. I just got my 83 hurst olds home and want to get all the info I can about it. Does anyone know what these cars ran in the 1/4 mile. I am also wondering about the production number. My VIN is 1G3AK4796EM416497.

They are high 15-low 16 second cars. Unless you get the tune perfect, then maybe a mid 15.

Here's what I have on yours as of 6/1983:

ProdSequence: #278 of 3001 built
VIN: 1G3AK4799DM387043
PRODUCED: 12/13/1982 (#13 of 39 built that day)
DEALER: 9078 (Only one sold by that dealer)
OWNER: Howard C Evans
STREET: Boone Square 83
CITY: Bearea
STATE: KY
ZIP: 40403

And the 83s got the 7.5 rear. The 8.5 was in the 84s.

Enjoy,
Al
