Drop me an email with your VIN and I can give you the details for your car. I have the list of all the 83 H/O VINs from a report run in 1983 with original owners, dealer (number, not name), and the production sequence number.

Smile 1983 hurst olds

Hi All,
Newbie here,
I have a question about these cars...
I'm thinking about purchasing one of these
Cars..I've searched the web and found out
some info on them ....The particular car that
I'm looking at has 27000 miles on it in average shape.
I has T-tops, Vinyl interior and crank windows...
I've been only able to find one with vinyl and
cranks.....is this car very rare? Any Idea on Value?

Thanks to all
Martin

They are high 15-low 16 second cars. Unless you get the tune perfect, then maybe a mid 15.

Here's what I have on yours as of 6/1983:

ProdSequence: #278 of 3001 built
VIN: 1G3AK4799DM387043
PRODUCED: 12/13/1982 (#13 of 39 built that day)
DEALER: 9078 (Only one sold by that dealer)
OWNER: Howard C Evans
STREET: Boone Square 83
CITY: Bearea
STATE: KY
ZIP: 40403

And the 83s got the 7.5 rear. The 8.5 was in the 84s.

Enjoy,
Al

hi, i was hoping you can assit with my vin.#1g3ak4799dm431705 , 1983 hurst/olds.
also, i owned a 69 h/o in the early 1980's, i sold it to a guy in longview tx., it did not have the original engine or trans., however it did have a 73 hurst olds engine & trans., it was a a/c car with auto trns. & 4.33 gear rearend. it was a really nice original car when i sold it. is this maybe your car in the picture ? thanks, scott in new orleans

Here's what I have on you car:

ProdSequence: #1971 of 3001 built
-----------VIN: 1G3AK4799DM431705
---PRODUCED: 2/16/1983 #10 of 28 built that day
-------DEALER: 12845 #2 of 3 sold by that dealer
-------OWNER:
-------STREET:
----------CITY:
--------STATE:
-----------ZIP:

The other 2 cars sold through that dealer were in Decatur, Illinois so it is likely that your car was sold at a dealer near there.

As for my '69, I've owned it since '79 and it was originally sold in West Allis, Wisconsin (I'm originally from Milwaukee)...

This message is for 69 HO aurora. Found on some older post where you were helping people with the build numbers on 83 Hurst models. Anyway been doing some horse trading and ended up with one with 56,000 miles. Decent car just needing some TLC. Serial no is 1G3AK4799DM411194 If you are still able to do this I'd appreciate the help. Larry
