1970 cutlass a/c removal

Hey guys, I am looking to remove the a/c unit out of my car but I want to keep the heater for the cool nights when cruzin has any one here done this a/c delete before? and what's the process in it? any advice would help me out! (don't want the big bulky box under the hood when I am not running a/c)

It can be done, but to install the non A/C box requires some major surgery to the firewall because they are completely different.

I just did away with all of it. But in my neck of the woods you never ever need a heater.

Remove the compressor/brkts/hoses/wiring & evaporator case from engine bay. Keep the vacuum reservoir on firewall hooked up. Buy a/c delete firewall cover from www.ss396.com & mount the fan resistor in it.
