Does this look correct?
I am replacing my rear air shocks and coil springs in a week or 2, so I crawled under the car to look at my springs and this is what i found. Couple of question.
1. Do I have to order the excat spring (pig tail, conical, linear, etc) that are on there now?
2. Shouldn't the spring be sitting in the perch or seat (not sure if thats the correct term of not)
3. Could someone tell me a good spring would be for a replacement. I would like it slighly higher in the rear then up front. I found a couple post where one of the memebers here has a blue cutlass that sits higher in the rear, I don't remeber the members name. But I love the stance.
Thank you for the help and advice.

The lower location looks OK. I'm not sure about the upper as the glare in the picture is hard to see. Which car is this? Your 1968 Vista Cruiser or 1971(?) convertible? Its possible that the old springs are sagging and that new factory spec springs might give the ride height your wanting. If your wanting to go aftermarket then someone else will have to step up and share their experiences. John

Well, I was focused more on the curl fitting around the raised portion of the perch and not paying attention to the axle tube. Do you think it could be a tired spring, or just need rotated to have the large coil in front instead of on the axle tube? John

If you want to get the rear up higher just put in some 68 vista cruiser coils. I put them in my 76.
Those spring look wore out sitting on the axle tube to me but I've had a few drinks.
