It's a 442 built by Hurst for Hurst that utilized a front wheel drive and transmission from a Toronado. It was at the last MCACN in Chicago. There is a writeup on it in the last 2 months of Hemmings Muslecars.

Hey Jim, that last one looks familiar! Was that W-31 the one Stefano had for sale? Probably should've bought that one. It was a "tweener"; too nice to restore, too scaley not to restore. Kinda in between.

Firefrost-tell us/me more about your Rallye. I'm still "trolling" for one; the right one for me, not just any one. And, that last pic looks like Ed Pienta's car.

Anyone remember the story behind this pic? Something about all but one T/A Convert that was built being in this pic or something.

Weren't there only 7 built? Perhaps they were unable to get the seventh one to the show? The one on the left is different as it has a white interior and dash.

6 of the 8 built were in attendance - one NO longer exists and a 4-spd car (w/white interior) didn't participate. 4 are in "the brothers' COLLECTION".

Well, the fender vents and tailpipes say '70-72, and by the hood, either a 454, or an LT1. I'm jealous. Looks nice.

I think the Hurst Hairy Olds was built for a good time and to be a crowd pleaser. Nothing else. This guy has his head up his keister.

I agree, it was built as a brute force power exhibition machine,...mission accomplished.....even when quiet and stationary. Dangerous and completely impractical? Yup! Isn't that the point??
