Will a 1970 Cutlass SX door fit a 1971 Cutlass Supreme?

Yes, assuming both are hardtops or convertibles. If I remember correctly, there is one internal difference between 70 and 71, which is the side impact beam in the door. This also resulted in a change to the window mechanism. So long as you swap the complete door, there should be no problem.

Cutlass door fit

Thanks Joe, you're the man!

One more thing. The '71 Cutlass SX door is from a hardtop. Can it be modified to fit a '71 Cutlass Supr Convt?

The only difference is that you'll need to transfer the wedge plate from the back edge of the old convert door to the new HT door.

I may be doing the same thing, a '71 supreme HT door onto a '72 Supreme convert. My convert door has a dent and I have a mint california door to bolt on. Can I use the glass from the '71 supreme HT door on the '72 convert? Can I swap the '72 convert glass into the '71 supreme HT door?

Another question for junkyrd dogs, will a '71 fastback HT door fit a '72 supreme convert?

thanks,
