Damaged Bumper Mount

I got a new bumper for the front of my '69 Delta 88. The current one was hit by someone in a parking lot. I have one issue mounting the new one, There is a bracket at the right front corner that was bent out about 3/4" (all of the rest of the mounts are fine). My question is should I hammer it back in place as is, or do I need to apply heat first then hammer it back? Thoughts or advice is appreciated.

The bracket is mild steel, so cold working or hot working are both acceptable.

Thanks

Thanks Joe. Interesting side not. The 88 originated in Annandale VA, my home town. I have ben riding in it since I was a small kid. I am the one crazy guy that hauled an east coast car to California where it now resides.

Unhappy

If you had hauled it to Chicago, your old license plate would become your NEW quarter panel like in this signature picture haha.
