spoiler mounting

i bought a spoiler from a swap meet awhile back, its a firebird spoiler from what i am told. Now i want to put on my 82 cutlass, I think i might need to shave some off the ends to clear my 1/4s. Or is there a way to take out the studs and put long ones in to raise it higher just to clear the 1/4s? Is there someone that might have the measurements to drill holes in the trunk to mount the spoiler, or should I eyeball it, dont know if the holes will go threw the braces in the trunk lid. here are some pics of the spoiler.
