You're already in the desert southwest. The rest of us are looking in your neighborhood for rust free cars. I have a rust free 69 shell coming from Phoenix this week. I got my 62 F-85 wagon from Overton, NV, and my wife's 1985 D88 from Vegas.

Depends on what you consider "big bucks". Certainly DVAP and similar companies make far more money selling parts than complete cars, so they are not incentivized to deal, but be sure to consider total cost of repairing a rusty shell vs. using a rust free one. I just went through this and bough a totally rust free 1969 rolling shell from AZ for $4500. Even with shipping it east, the cost will be half as much as properly fixing the rust on my current car (especially since I would be using rust free OEM sheet metal, not Chinesium patches). The factory-welded shell is a far better product than any patch job anyway. The labor savings by going this route is well worth the cost.

Maybe it would be best if I called him. From the website all I saw were cars $6k and up and looked a bit rough. Usually lower quarter issues and so on. But if I could find one close to $4500. I would do it in a heart beat if it was as the one you found.

I should clarify that I did not buy the car from DVAP but from a private party. Sorry that was not clear.
