Buy a ticket, it's your lucky day
My 1968 Oldsmobile 442 is for sale.
VIN#344878Z106980
Ok, so it's not all that and a bag of chips but it is a solid, living, breathing example of a 1968. Looking to see the interest in it. Supplied will be a picture of it mostly stock, and another picture of it in its current garb ('70s Street Machine attire).
Nothing very radical done to the car, it does not sport the original 400 V8 anymore but instead a later model (396021F) 455 V8 backed by the original automatic TH400. The rear end has been identified as also original, with an o-type 8.5 ring gear 12 bolt non-posi.
I daily drive the car, and I'm ready for a change. It isn't my only Oldsmobile and it won't be my last. I want it to go to just the right person, but with that in mind I am also motivated to sell because of the fast pace and constant change around me.
Other members of this forum have seen the car in person, and I know a buddy of mine would vouch for the car if you didn't trust anything I said about it for some reason.
My name is Jimmy, contact me via phone or email. Located in the SF BayArea, CA.

Before the purists come in with hate for how I've "ruined" the car - everything done can be undone within two hours. Car comes with loads of extra parts including a spare '68 hood, two sets of headers (white painted and polished ceramic coated) to fit BBO's, manual steering gear with pitman arm to convert to manual, and literally loads of extras.

Thank you very much, it is the original 8-track that came with the car. Most of the pictures of the car show it in its current attire playing the role of a '70s period correct street machine. It has a staggered slot mag wheel set on it right now. I have an entire set of extra slot mags, plus some black painted SS-III wheels (14x8 I believe) for it. Pinstriping on the car is tape, and will come right off without harming anything. The trunk has the original full size (14") spare and the original Firestone Super Sport bias-ply tire (G60or70 I believe)

Car also has the rare full stainless deluxe seatbelt buckles from the factory.
The interior is about 90% original with the exception of the seat-butts on the front seats. Headliner is all original as well, no tears.
