Looks like a major death trap! A fine mix of Italian, German and American engineering- switch on the headlights and the brakes go out, hit the brakes and the door falls off.
Very convenient in that they simply bury the whole car instead of trying to separate you from the wreckage.

Those kits were very popular and very well engineered way back when. Looks like a cool project for someone.
