Not mine, but not often you see anything for $200:

John - well unfortunately I don't have the space, but maybe some other NW CO person will jump on it.
Seems too nice from the pics to part out - assuming someone could sort out the title issue - which would probably just require some patience and, of course, $!

THAT is why when you FIRST SEE a nice CL ad, you should COPY THE TEXT and BRING IT HERE and paste it in, with the contact info, for future use.
ALWAYS
pointing to a CL ad url is utterly useless after oh 5 minutes to 1 day.

Pity the seller(s) then when people see such a thread here 1, 3, 5 years too late.

young olds - good luck
octania - good point. Happen to have the page still open so here ya go. I think it's a legit ad just based on how it sounds, probably flagged for reasons noted by others - but who knows, it's CL! No contact info though:

1966 Oldsmobile 442. (This was my Father's Oldsmobile!) I'll be in Arlington only for a short time, so if you want this car for parts, and you can haul it away either on Saturday Jan. 24th or Sunday the 25th, you can have it for $200 OBO. The tires are flat and the cylinder heads have been removed. The body is straight, but hood and trunk are rusted. This car is for parts ONLY, must take ENTIRE car. I have a notarized release of interest, but there is a lien on the title from a bank that went out of business in the 1980's. I haven't been able to locate the bank's successor for them to release the title. You may have better luck, but in the meantime, I want it removed. If you have the means to haul it, please email me your phone number and I will call you back or email. Thanks

I spotted it yesterday evening right after it was posted and emailed.
Have not heard back.
I would love to score it...
I'm positive thy are getting blasted with emails and offers if its a legit deal.
There are some serious bop parts hoarders around here who buy up stuff cheap then ask a mint for it- I've butted heads with them before on stuff. There is no way this wasn't noticed by them.
Anyway... Would be sweet to have a shot at it. I really would like to get into another 66 even if it was a long term project like this.

I spotted it yesterday evening right after it was posted and emailed an offer significantly more than $200. Have not heard back.

I also sent an email on Sunday with my phone numbers attached, haven't heard back. I figure by now that it's bought and paid for if the ad was legit. Hopefully he was offered more for it than his asking price equal to a couple of tons of scrap metal, he deserves it. That looks like a very savable 442, I hope it doesn't get parted.

Yup, and the problem is the guy only used the CL generated email. So since it got flagged, the CL email address is also dead. Only people that sent him a message prior to the ad getting flag with have a chance of getting in touch with the owner. I found this ad and posted about it early Sunday morning and in about 6 hours it was viewed over 1000 times. His inbox should be interesting.

I've never done it but you just get all your friends to flag it too
Here's the post from Facebook from the guy that ended up buying it:
I saw this car ad on Craig's list was posted on the site last week. 66 442 $200. I saw someone said they had it but since it was in my back yard i took a shot anyways. The guy was traveling here from Cali and needed the **** all gone! This weekend. I had to agree to getting rid of a 69 dodge 24' open road motor home, an extra motor trans and boat motor! And a truck load of other scrap.
We also found a spare hood and deck lid from a 67 cutlass. Bonus! His dad supposedly purchased it brand new and owned other Oldsmobile's over the years. His dad and uncle both worked for fisher body at one time. Final agreed price was $442. Took half the day to get the motor home going but it was worth it. A couple pics of the car and the wild looking motor home.
