'69 H/O and '73 H/O combo

69 Looks to be mostly there. '70 OAI and wrong master. Wonder what it looks like underneath sitting outside. Front passenger wheel not right but has a spare in the trunk. Is that '73 worth anything?

If it has the right heads, intake, and trans definitely worth the money IMHO. It does have a '70 thermostat housing which could mean the intake was changed.

Wow, it aways amazez me the kinda rust is out there, if the trunk lid is gone probably the trunk floors too , one thing wil lead to another, and would require a substantial budget, dont get me wrong, I like the 69 , but its going to cost a ton for bodywork . the 73 looks rode hard and put up wet lol.... scary thing is if I had the loot lol ..need my head examined

69 hurst olds. $22500.
69 hurst olds package with 73 hurst olds. The white one has a blown head gasket and matching number car. The black one needs total restoration numbers match.
These are the only photos I saved. '69 appeared in original paint but was pretty rusty and appeared to be stored outside with a tarp over it in South Carolina. All H/O specific appearance parts were present including wing, mirrors, wheels, scoop, dual gate, N34 steering wheel.

im new to the oldsmobile world what are you talking about when you say 70 OAI

Correct... in this case more of a system including an air cleaner base, lid with flapper door to allow outside air in, and a hood to supply the air by means of an air scoop system.
Compare to earlier OAI systems such as the '66 W30 with scoops in the front bumper, '67 W30 with scoops in the headlight area, or the '68-9 W30 and H/O and Ram Rod / W31 sustem with scoops under the bumper. The factory '69 H/O OAI air cleaner is single year single model and now of course hard to find.

Those cars are pretty rare, probably warrants saving as many photos as one can get in a situation like that. In looking over the engine pics, I see what appears to be not the correct '69 H/O Intake. A lot of things changed. Rubber fuel line, incorrect oil fill cap?
It appears that both rocker covers have a breather so then where oh where is the PCV valve?

thank you timholliday I bought this car after you posted it on here. I called about it and he told me he had had it since 1991 and it was all original but the breather lid had got stepped on and it broke and he found this breather at a swap meet and a few things like the master cylinder and the alt had been changed over the years . it had a some rust on the front fenders and deck lid and a spot on the back quarter. the trunk pan and floors are great shape it had been in a garage for years in the last couple months he lost his storage so he decided to sell it. so I went to wal mart and mailed him 500.00 to hold it for me and I would be there Thursday to pick it up. I just got home with it and im glad to say its all original it has the original j intake and d heads number matching block I haven't had time to check the distributor or carb trans or rear end but im pretty sure its original and he gave me the broad cast sheet he found it up under the drivers seat and the car has 50 thousand original miles on it all the hurst olds wheels and he even had the centers im going to fix the blown head gasket and leave it as a driver thanks again tim holliday for posting it

Glad to hear it went to a good home. I was tempted but it was a bit far away for me. Any photos you can post would be appreciated. Was it original paint by the way?

Nice. So you START your collection with a real '69 H/O...
Where can you go from here? Grampa's car F85 poverty cap 6-banger for the other end of the scale I guess.
Sorry if I scared you on the intake but a quick phone call or photos of the pcv boss would clear that up.
I can't just not point out a snafu like that.
Congrats on the buy and if it is unrestored you may consider keeping it unrestored. Originality cannot be reproduced. Maybe it's my Cheap Ba$tard coming out though. How bad is it? Can we get [lots] more photos?
