1966 442 Clone (Seattle, Washington)
1966 Oldsmobile 442 (clone)
455ci, Manual Trans w/ new centerforce II clutch & pressure plate
Bucket Seats, Disk brakes, rebuilt steering & suspension, boxed rear control arms and swaybar.
Engine Details:
455 (.030 over, 471ci), TRW Forged Pistons, Balanced rotating assembly
Lunati 60803 cam, Aluminum Heads, Harland Sharp roller rockers, smith bros pushrods Edelbrock Torker intake, Holley 750DP, Hooker Competition Headers, MSD ignition, 2 1/2" dual exhaust, dynomax Ultraflow mufflers, Electric Fuel pump, estimated 425hp & 520 ft/lbs at the crank
Engine was installed Last summer (2013) and has ~1500 miles on it now. Its an absolute blast to drive. Drive it anywhere with confidence.
Here is a short video from last fall when I first fired the engine... Just idling but you get the idea:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIQbvkaaBls#t=10
Disk Brake conversion & front suspension & steering components were completely rebuilt/replaced in 2009.
New carpet & reupholstered bucket seats in 2010 (Legendary Auto Interiors covers).
Last painted in 1988 & Shows its age- Has some chips & scratches. Typical bubbling behind rear tires, and bottom of front fenders. Floors and trunk are 100% solid and original.
Its very presentable, but it is a "10 footer", -NOT- show quality, however its a great driver w/ plenty of power and turns heads every time its out.
I am the 3rd owner- car was purchased new in Bellevue, WA been a NW car all its life. It has been garage kept the last 20 years.
The car is not a true 442, however all the correct 442 specific Trim has been added. Grill, Fender Scoops, Tail lights, trunk lip chrome, and dash emblem.
$12,500

Thats the idea, but I'm aware that most people aren't shopping for muscle cars during the holidays, but I hope to catch the eye of a few who might be browsing while at family events, and might call after new years.

wish i was happy with the sale, this is likely the first car I have ever sold that I flat out didn't want to sell- but you have to do what you have to do sometimes.
At least I still have the '53 chevy truck to fart around with.
I am keeping the original 310hp 330 from my car- its an excellent runner. Eventually once I get finances firing on all cylinders again I'll look for a 65, 66 or 68 cutlass that needs a motor & get back into the Olds game again.

I know how you feel, felt the same way when I sold my Plymouth a few years back. Just didn't have the room. Ben, the car can always be replaced. Hopefully you'll get through this rough patch soon. May 2015 be better.
