1973 Custom Cruiser
This is mine, guys. I've decided to sell it so I can concentrate my time, money, effort, and garage space on my '67 convertible. I have mixed feelings about letting it go, but I've had it almost five years now, and I've pretty much done everything to and with it I had wanted to do. Few things last forever.
I would like to see it go to a good home. My asking price is $4,000, but I'm very negotiable as I'm mainly interested in seeing it sold.
This is the craigslist ad.

In addition to the photos with the ad, where craigslist allows a maximum of 24, I have those plus a few more, including the original window sticker, in a Picasa album here:

The photos in the ad are not all recent, but the car hasn't changed in appearance.
Here's a photo taken just two weeks ago, when I had it side by side with my convertible and it had just been washed and waxed.

No doubt in my mind this clamshell monster wagon is still in good hands with its new owner.
And I'm glad it sold quickly, because with the asking price and me being on vacation, I might have done something ridiculous.

The car finally departed, in an enclosed trailer no less, two days ago (December 12). I heard from the buyer that it arrived in good shape early this morning. I think it has gone to a very good new home.
Here it is being loaded.
I watched the driver do the loading. I thought he'd be here and gone in 20 or 30 minutes. Nope. Took him three hours as he had to remove three of the four cars already on the truck and then reload to get them all where he wanted them.
His loading process ended up creating a small car show of high-priced iron out in the street, and not a few passers-by slowed down or stopped to take a look.
In addition to the Custom Cruiser waiting to be loaded was this Porsche Cayenne Turbo (MSRP $113,600), brand new with the sticker still in the window
this Plymouth Prowler, which were last built in 2002, so this was at least 12 years old
and this Audi A8 (base price $81,400), also looking brand new.
The Prowler got the most looks.
Also in the truck was a BMW, but it was up on the second level, and he didn't need to get it out, so I couldn't get any kind of a look at it other than to see that it was a BMW.
Best shot I could get of the BMW without getting in his way. Can anyone tell which model it is?
So there was, what, about $304,000 worth of automobiles on this truck, $4,000 of which was the Custom Cruiser and $300,000 of which was the other four vehicles.
The windows were down on it, so I took a couple of photos of the interior of the Porsche. This is certainly as close as I'll ever get to a car like this. Pretty darn nice.
