Price advice-67 cutlass turnpike cruiser
So i got a new project and don't want to deal with two so i'm selling my 67 Cutlass Supreme Turnpike Cruiser. I know what i have in it but I also know that doesn't matter (damnit!). I am hoping to get an opinion on a realistic price i see so many people trying to sell junk for gold I don't want to be one of those so if you would ...
The 400 2 bbl motor and turbo 400 trans with switch pitch converter has been freshly rebuilt, less than 1000 miles. New aluminum radiator. New 2 1/2" exhaust. Rebuilt carburetor off of a 66 cutlass. The front end pieces are all new as well as new 1 1/4" sway bar front and 1" sway bar rear. New lowering springs in rear. neww tubular upper and lower control arms in front that actually lowered the car so i re-used the stock front springs. New KYB shocks all around. New Jeep GC steering box. New 13.4" front discs with 12 inch rear discs. New brake lines, new master cylinder. Seats have just been recovered, replaced part of the front floorboard. Dyna mat installed with new carpet. New Retro radio. Car is mostly solid. There may be a little rust issues under the front and rear windows. A rust through spot on passenger side of upper trunk next to trunk lid. Floors and trunk pan are solid. Three power windows rolled up and down when i first got it but haven't since i installed the engine (i'm sure i disconnected something).

Sale value is always tough to call. The main thing is to find a buyer that likes what you have done to the car and is willing to complete what you have started. I like the car stock and original equipment. It appears you have done some modernizing which some may like and others may not. The car needs some rust repair and paint. This alone is an expense for sure. I bought my rustier, no exhaust, original worn condition TC last year for 3500. I thought the value was in the Rally gauges, 400 engine with CCC stuff, and TC package in general. Off the top of my head I would say someone would pay 5-6 G's for the car as it sits but you need someone jonesin for a project and loves the TC package. As always just an opinion.

Unfortunately presentation is almost everything with an older car. Yours needs some considerable work to complete. Powertrain repairs are always nice, but... again presentation is everything.
X3 on the above price.

My thoughts. I paid 3900 for a 67 442 in similar shape without all the stuff you've done in 05, and I think my car was probably worth 4500 at the time. If it were a 442, I'd be interested in the engine and trans rebuild, but turned off by the modernizing. That being said, I would say that, as a 442, the car would be worth 6 grand, but, since it's a TC, I would think it's worth more like 4.
A numbers matching hardtop 442 will top out, restored, at about 20-25k. Any other 67 Olds A body will not break 15k, restored. Your car needs about 10k of work to get there, mostly body and paint, so I am guessing 5k is as much as makes sense to pay for it, and it's probably only worth 4.
My recommendation is to price it for 7500, and see if you get some biters. Be open to negotiation, and take 5500 for it.
