1940 oldsmobile Project

I have a 1940 oldsmobile sedan. It is a massive original project that I do not have the time or money to finish. I bought it back in high school, and am now in college so I have no time nor money to invest in this car. This car is not hacked up, camaro sub framed or disc brake converted it has original drums all around, knee action shocks, and the ladder frame.

It has a rebuilt flat head straight 6 engine, it has never had oil or fluids run through it. The car also has the first year hydromatic transmission that has been gone through. It has a clean North Dakota title, suicide doors and running boards. This car is a full restoration, and has been stored in a garage since the last couple years I have owned it.

The worst part of the car is the trunk area that is rusted pretty bad around the lip where the truck lid and weather striping meet. The trunk floor pan is rusted out where the spare tire well is, as well as the lower panel behind the bumper. It will also need patches in the front floor board, and a spot below where the rear seat is. I do not have the seats in my possession at this time they are at an upholstery shop being recovered, along with the door panels being reproduced to match the original tan interior. The bill for that is $1,400 so if you would like to have the seats included in the sale of the car then you will have to pay that since I do not have the money at this time.

I do have all of the pieces for this car, all the doors, all the chrome trim, the grill fell apart, but I have what was there, the steering wheel (in the process of being repaired) with the horn button, the dash, all the glass even though the passenger side window is bad, all the window cranks with bake light pieces, the fenders (the rear driver fender has been repaired and primered, the front driver fender has been sandblasted to bare metal and has a spot cut out and welded back in it, the rear passenger fender has been sanded down to show low and high spots that need repair, and the front passenger fender has not been touched. The hood has a dent on the nose of it that needs repaired.I have also bead blasted a few of the interior parts to bare metal such as the window trim dash pieces, etc. All these panels listed above are in a storage building out of the elements.

The car is located in Pittsburg, KS zip code 66762 and the price for the car excluding the seats is $1,200. I also have another car in really rough shape that is a parts car that I would sell for an extra $400. It is in Springdale, Arkansas about 100 miles away from this car. I may consider a trade for the right car, I love classic cars, but I would rather trade for a running driving vehicle that is a mid 70's or older, let me know what you have the worst I can say is no. I will not ship this car or the parts car and do not have the means to deliver the vehicle so you must make arrangements to pickup. If you have any questions, concerns, or desire pictures of the parts in storage, or desire pictures of better quality, I will provide. Please call or text 479 268 8881.
