Not a bad-looking car, but your price is certainly strong for a four-door sedan with that much rust around the doors and the completely unattended-to engine compartment.

You also have an incorrect statement in your listing:

"The body style is basically the same as the 64 Impala 4DR (but with cool fins) and they use the same parts."

The body style may very well be the "same" as a 4-door Impala because they're both 4-doors, but that's it. The '64 Jetstar 88 was pretty much a one-off model that had the body of a full-size '64 Oldsmobile with the Cutlass engine, brakes, and drivetrain mounted on a full-size chassis.

Most importantly for someone who is looking to buy this car and wonders about parts availability, these cars share only a few things mechanically with other full-size Oldsmobiles of that year, and they share nothing with a Chevy Impala or any other GM make. Engine and brake parts are the same as the Cutlass of that year, so those are available.

Thanks for the input. When I said that it was basically the same as an Impala I meant with respect to the parts that are needed. The window internals, weatherstripping, carpet and headliner should all be the same.

As for the price, this is a great car with minimal rust issues that runs great. The price is strong but I have just lowered it again to $5500. It will be relisted again on Ebay today. Follow the link at the top of the old auction and make a solid offer. All I can do is say no.

Thanks,
Lance

Rear axle is a 1-year, 1-model only part
and, they tend to get eaten by the bearings
You can guess how I found out.

But, it's a pretty cool car. GLWTS!
