Are you aware that there is no such animal? The HO was not built on the Supreme body style. So what car are you selling or should we all just guess?

Me too!

Welcome to CO! I would like to see what ya have. I do have a passion for 73's but as Dave was saying there was no such build in 73 on the Supreme platform. Reguardless lest see that bad boy when you have time?

Relax people. Of course it's either a Supreme that's been done up to resemble an H/O or the OP sees the S emblems and thinks its a Supreme. Most likely the second scenario. That being said, I want to see the pics too. No sense being a-holes to a new member.

I think a lot of people get the '73 confused being a Supreme due to the small "opera" type window, and the use of the Supreme in the later Hurst/Olds models.

It would be interesting if it was a W-46 model - I have personally never seen one, except in the road test done by Motor Trend with a white W-45 & black W46 models. Does anyone know why Oldsmobile never offered the W-46 model with air conditioning?

I know the '72 H/O with the W-46 option (W-30 engine) was not available with A/C, as only offered with the 3.42 and 3.73 gears. Only saw one W-46 '72 H/O with the also rare sunroof on eBay, but unfortunately it was badly rotted. Hopefully someone was able to restore or rebuild it.

It kills me that folks get so upset on here if somebody makes a mistake or is just misinformed. People join this site because they like Olds. Some know more than others. That's life, lets help the guy out rather than knock his post! That being said, lets see it!! And good luck!

Pictures received. The car is a genuine 1973 HO. The seller has mistaken the S for Supreme.

This car has been sitting for a long long time. It is a very ambitious project. The seller proudly states that the car is worth $13,000.00 as per Hemmings.

Sad that this once proud car has become lawn art. It will cost 2-3 times what it is worth to fix it.

Pics to follow. But be warned they are sad.

Price may be high but i have seen a hell of alot worse cars resurected. Its a little too new for me. My interest stops at 72, but there are some who love these cars. Looks like a good project for someone if the price was right, but 13,000? Not even close to right.
Good luck, I hope someone can get it and make it new again.

I invited the seller to stop emailing me & post his thoughts on here. He did add that "a nice 1973 HO just sold for over $40K and that this was not his 1st rodeo" . Apparently he is here to teach us about the value of these cars.

In fairness I told him that this was a $1500 parts car. That was unfair of me as the car is worth more than that. The only thing keeping this from being a nice $25K car is the $40K in cash & hundreds of hours of labor & materials to get it there.

Good luck with the sale & enjoy the discussion. I hope someone rescues the car.

I am starting to like the 73s more and more. You NEVER see them. If cars didn't have to have the big ugly bumpers starting in 73, cars of the era would have looked much better

The back bumper on the '73 is still flush mount. That & other styling clues are why I love the overall look of the 73 Cutlass, HO & 442. I have had several & will have another.

Who bashed his car?
Someone asked to see a 73 HO Supreme and Dave and I both told him welcome and that there was no production like that in 73???
I don't give a crap what model they have or think they have.... My passion is 73's as stated. Most don't like em but that's partially why I like Oldsmobile's and 73-75's.
No Bashing from me.
We all share a common hobby. "Oldsmobile"

I have always liked the 73 H/O.
Had a black and gold one back in the day.
His has less rust than mine did. A buddy of
mine blew the engine, but I still had someone
drive 125 miles up from Lubbock to buy it for $650.
