1971 Cutlass Supreme - Clean!

I'm selling my 71 Cutlass Supreme. I am the second owner of the car. I purchased it from the original owner who was only selling it because he was moving. He told me it had never seen a flake of snow in it's life, and when I bought it, it had been in storage for over 10 years. It shows. The car is rock solid, in and out. A survivor. There is no body rot anywhere. The interior has no tears on the upholstery and the dash is crack free. Everything is original from GM minus the tires and the windshield washer fluid bottle. I have the original books and the protect-o-plate.

It's a 350 4bbl car. It runs and drives like a dream. You can drive it with one finger. It's a non-AC car, which is quite uncommon for a Supreme. I've had it for about 4 years and have put less than a 1000 miles on it. I drove it to the cruise on Woodward in Detroit one year, 100 miles each way, problem free.

Since honestly is the best policy I'll tell you the negatives. Which are small. As being a daily driver at one time in it's life it has stone chips around the wheel wells, and a couple small scratches. Nothing major at all. Also the fuel gauge works sporadically and the clock doesn't work. Nor does the radio. That's all that I can see that's wrong with it. None of this effects the driveablility of the car.
This car is an awesome cruiser. I'm only selling it because I'm looking for something else. It's located in Ovid, Michigan. Since I have to post a price let's start at $12,000.

Are you aware of the upcoming Oldsmobile Homecoming car show and swap meet in Lansing, MI on June 14? There's a designated car sale area. Your car would be a great addition to the show. If interested, you can go to the RE Olds Chapter website for details and/or send me a PM for an email address or phone number contacts.

Gorgeous looking car. What are you looking to replace it with?

That is a nice one. I'm surprised I've never seen it. I'm in Ashley.

Just noticed, this car has the 'coveted' 1970 fenders! Probably one of the earlier 1971 builds that was still using up leftover 1970 crossover parts.

How can you tell they're 70 fenders ? I noticed the side marker seems to have chrome trim around it . I believe the chrome trim stops behind the front rims on my car .... is that how you determined the year on these ? Just curious .

edit ... I've had all the chrome off for so long on my car I can't remember lol .

Bryan, the side chrome you're talking about is typical of the 71 CS. The wheel well stainless only goes to the same level as the side trim; and no, that's now how you determine whether they're 70 fenders. Read on....

Look at the flat horizontal surface on the inside of the fender (that would be hidden when the hood is down). In 71 crash protection changed to require the front end to collapse better; and crumple ridges were pressed into the fenders on that surface to allow the metal to fold or collapse more easily.
