That's one sweet car with outstanding credentials. I wish I had that kind of cash burning holes in my pocket.

Good question as we've seen them done both ways. However, the H/Os photographed for all the PR shots and magazine road tests back in '69 has the silver outline that way so that's the way we did it.

Thanks, I get A LOT of compliments on it. Sadly (for a purist like myself) it's supposed to be 53 (Saturn Gold) but one of the previous owners decided that was too 'obnoxiously mustardy' for him and 'toned it down a notch' It's not quite 55 (Galleon Gold), it's a tad more on the Champagne side - a custom mix perhaps? I say sadly because the car is pretty much all original except for the repaint. If I ever do the car over, I'll go back to the correct Saturn Gold but for now I think it's not feasible to redo it just to get the correct color back.

Sweet car! Does anybody know (hard to see) if the stripe, under the H/O on the fender goes straight or does it dip with the body line?

All the bottom Gold stripes' Black outline pinstripe have a gentle curve downward as they approach the front and rear wheel openings. This is done correctly on this car as per how Demmer did it.

I've been fortunate to see this car a few times around Raleigh. The first time, my heart about stopped. She's an absolute beauty!!!

When I was a kid, a salesman, Earl McNeil, at the local Olds dealer had a '69 Hurst Olds. There was not a more desirable car on the planet to me back then, and if I had an extra eighty five big 'uns laying around, this would be mine.

It is a stunning automobile, loaded with options.

Mike's 442 is extremely nice, also.

Best of luck to you on the sale.

Wow, what a great & well optioned '69 H/O.

I think the "standard hood & rear spoiler" combination is the most prevalent, and best looking, on the '71 442's. For some reason, the standard center hood stripe and a rear spoiler just seem to set off the good lines for that year.
