Buy house, comes with a 69 442.

Not Mine! You don't see an ad like this everyday. I stumbled upon this and thought it was unique enough to share. For $300K, you can have this house with a 7 car garage and you get the 1969 442 for free. I had to buy my 442 separately when I bought my home

ad:
Selling my home and you get the 442 with it. Car is not for sale without purchasing the house.

Good deal. I just happen to need a bigger house with a much larger garage. But that commute would kill me, I'd be late to work for sure.

That sounds like a lot of house for $300k, not a bad deal dependent on location and condition.

I'd keep the car and let my wife go with the house.

Different approach. Nothing really impressive about the house pics though. It doesn't look lived in, so maybe it's in escrow? I keep remembering the rule of 'If it sounds too good to be true, it usually isn't'.

Man, this was a huge reminder that where I'm at, the house prices are way too high.

It's crazy stupid pricing all over Canada. By comparison that property (house and land) is a steal given our markets.

It is bad. Detatched homes here start at around $600,000, and for those ones they say the price is "land value", so you aren't buying it for the house. A lot of people buy a property and tear the house down so they can build two houses: one to live in and the other to rent so they can afford the mortgage.

Not only that, I saw in the news the trend is to 'alley' homes. Instead of a garage peeps are building smaller 800-900 rentals. Completely legal of course, but I'd sure hate to live in that kind of neighborhood.

We're planning a move from AB to BC eventually, but I won't be held hostage to high prices. If it means living in suburbs that's ok with me as long as the price and house fit my needs. AB has ridonculous prices IMO. My house has almost (artificially of course) tripled in value since I build it in 98.

What I would do if the present place is worth $5-600,000 is sell and buy elsewhere for $100--150,000 and bank the rest---Oh that is what I did---4 times. Last time I sold for $500,000 and bought here for $150,000. 52X40 garage with heat and A/C and a 4BR 2Ba brick rancher on 5ac......rarely any bad weather, snowed a couple of times in 7 years. Did I say no snow? By the way that house above looks tacky to me and no grass.

The Craigslist ad lists the car as having a branded title. Maybe nothing, maybe something.

A few things to look out for in Florida, homes built with defective Chinese drywall, a car with a branded title has at one point be declared a total loss and rebuilt, a car with 442 emblems and vin# may not have always been a 442.
