This isn't mine. It looks to be real. Fender numbers are in the right place, red inner fenders under black paint, manual brakes, OW tranny (he would have saved himself answering a lot of questions if he had posted the VIN that's on it).
The repaint from Willow Gold to red is going to make a few people question things like the number placement. It looks like a MAJOR project. If this thing was from upstate NY it's going to have rust everywhere. I wish I had found it. I'll bet he didn't pay much for it.

I agree, it does look real. The trans tag looks like it's been there for a while. The big score would be a numbers matching trans VIN derivative. Of course, does the original motor have the correct heads, carb, and distributor? And does he have the air cleaner? The bench seat/column shift would be correct for a base AT car with the bench seat credit option. Other than the AT, this is a very low-option W-30. The only other thing is what appears to be a disc brake M/C. It doesn't say if the car has discs (which would not be factory available on a 68 W-30) or just the wrong M/C.

It is pretty rotted and in the one shot looks like sme metal was welded to the frame under drivers side fender. For all the rot you can see there is plenty more that cant be seen and weak areas... what a shame.

In the salt belt I have seen this "repair" a few times before. Very sad it is. My nephew unknowingly, once bought a 67 Cutlass conv from upstate NY with extensive angle iron repairs on the frame. Funny thing was the floor pan was like new but the frame gone.
