My dad (Oldsguy) had a 78 Olds Omega years ago that was yellow. It had a Chevy straight 6. I'm sure this moves nicely with a V8.

Yeah, when I got her the former owner had put everything on her from the junk yard. Junkyard 305 and transmission, I was just slowly trying to replace everything. Just bit off a little more than I could chew with such an extensive project. That 305 was definitely better on gas mileage. But she sounds great now.

Engine is a rebuilt chevy 350 I put in. Has vortec heads and intake and a slightly larger lobed truck cam. I was told the transmission in it that is acting up was a 200r4 but I never verified that as the plan was to replace it. I have a used 700r4 for it. And everything else(rear end and driveshaft) is original to car.
