Question One of a kind 1970 442 Convertible ?

I found this on Craigslist and posted it on my site. Seems odd for someone to be selling such a "unique" car with such a brief description and high price tag ($125,000). I haven't seen those colors before. Was that light blue stripe an available color?

That is actually the blue stripe that was offered for a stripe color option. It looks slightly darker on a White or Azure Blue car,but it was available.
A lot of colors on that car - twilight blue, blue stripe, pearl interior, black top,and heck, might as well mention the red wells. Not too many like that.

the top almost looks vary very dark blue. Those are all very nice colors but to me they don't work well together as Brian said just too many. Notice it has cruise control, hood lock and what looks like night watch. Though it also has the tach so it wouldn't have come with the night watch originally. Wonder if its really near Chicago, would like to go see it.

its the only W30 convert in these colors
And the seller knows that HOW, exactly?

Yes, the blue was a factory available stripe color.

Did GM keep track of the various production numbers broken down into color?

No unfortunately they did not. I wonder if even GM of Canada did

Anybody seen anything like this before? Lots of colors offered, but I have to imagine some combos were 1 of 1 in the grand scheme. Anybody have other pics of crazy color setups like this? Kind of cool, but not for me.

Both cool looking cars if you ask me. I see a few more things wrong with the twilight car but just picky things that shouldn't matter (like C/S emblem on door panel, though some folks say some 442s came that way). The Azure car is already bidding much higher, wonder if its the 4-speed, the color or both that is driving the price higher quicker. I'd take either in a heart beat.
