I just listed the red 442 W-30 on eBay. With not being able to prove it is a real W-30 I pulled the red inner fenders out and selling it as a 442.

Two questions, are the W30 fender holes punched or drilled and when you swapped out the inner fenders, did you look on the inside of the fenders for W30 wrote with a grease pencil?

If the buyer of the car don't want the parts, I will sell the intake but I am going to try to keep the red inners and hood. I have 5 people on the waiting list for the inners if i sell them. If I have to have the money to finish my W-30 I will sell everything but I will not know that for a couple years.

The holes were punched. I know it is a real W-30 but I can not prove it by documentation.

BJ's got a W30 up for sale and says it has no doc's, but has some W30 parts on it like F heads, intake and set no reserve. Last sale was 270,000 or so, wonder if the four speed was different, like the OW AUTO. Did your fenders have W30 wrote on them?

I did not look. I don't know how true this legend is. I had a 16,000 mile 72 W-30 that didn't have the markings and also have a documented 70 W-30 now. It has never been apart and it does not have the markings. On this red car, There is a grease pincel marking real big across the inside of the passenger fender but i can't tell what it says.
