Yeah, kinda like my 62 wagon that sat in Overton, NV for 30 years. If you look up "middle of nowhere" in the dictionary, there's a picture of Overton. Unfortunately, that also made it difficult and expensive to get someone to pick the car up and transport it to the east coast. Good luck. I'm also interested in photos.

W-33
Having owned several 1969 and 1970 Delta 88s in both 365 hp and 390 hp versions I am very familiar with the unique items on the W-33 equipped cars. Are you sure this is a W-33 equipped 390 hp version?

wondering if you could share your knowledge of W-33 equipped cars and 390 rated 455.....What should i be looking for specifically on the 455(date code Nov 1969) that might give me some clues.? If the poster"s car is indeed a 455 390hp, then it should make it more saleable!
Thanks,
Ted

^^^ Nevada, Arizona... it's all the same sun!
In July and August here in Central Texas it is just as hot,
guarenteed! Come on down, you won't be dissapointed,
unless you don't have a/c... And I know it can be that
way in New Mexico in the summer too Jaunty.
We Southern boys love that $heet, yes?

Three versions of the 455 were offered on the '69 Delta 88 line.
The 310 hp version had a 9 to 1 compression ratio, a 2-bbl carburetor, used regular fuel, and was single-exhaust.
The 365 hp version had a 10.25 to 1 compression ratio, a 4-bbl carb, used premium fuel, and was single-exhaust.
The 390 hp version was identical to the 365 hp version except that it was dual-exhaust.
So all you should have to do to verify that it's the 390 hp version is check to see how many tailpipes are sticking out the back end.
According to the 1970 Olds brochure, all of the above carried forward unchanged to 1970.

If I'm reading the 1969 Olds Full-line Brochure correctly, this should be easy.

So....what makes you think it is a W-33 car?

Holy shizerlagen. Sorry guys, I retract the 390 hp. I just did a quick lookup of the hp and saw 390. After everyone put their .02 in, in sure it's a 310hp version. It has a two barrel. Sorry. No rust

Seriously, larger shots, and some overall shots that show the whole car would be helpful. Sounds like a solid, interesting project.

You are very unlikely to find someone interested in it quickly, though if you give it some time, there is a decent chance someone will pop up.
Your best bet is that people keep this thread alive and near the top of the list, so that as many potential buyers see it as possible.
