1970 Cutlass

1970 Cutlass
I bought this car in order to get the air breather and the hood pins. Well, now I have a car that is a little beyond my capabilities to restore and the consensus is that I should NOT part it out, which is what I intentionally planned to do. This car is full of nice parts.
It is a 1970 Cutlass with an original W25 hood (minus the hood pins, and air breather, which I am keeping for my 442, the reason I bought the car)
It has a 455ci Oldsmobile motor which actually sounds nice. The motor runs. Correct, heavy duty radiator, fan shroud, black plastic inner fender wells, and complete A/C with brackets, compressor, ETC.
No broken glass. Sport mirrors look nice, but are in need a good cleaning.
Complete bucket seat interior with very good frames and tracks. The center console is in excellent condition needing nothing more than a good cleaning. It is missing the lock. The shifter and linkage is all present and functioning. The steering column is correct for a bucket seat car. And it has the sport steering wheel. This car also has the sail panels and trim panels that go between the seat and the body of the car. Basically, it has all the little stuff needed to correctly restore the interior. Exception, the glove box door is missing.
It has the correct 14 inch Rally wheels with really nice caps and beauty rings
The body? Well... it's is not so good. The trunk and the driver's door are unsalvageable and the lower rear quarter on the passenger side is rusted out, as are the lowers on the fenders. I'll pull the carpet out later in the week, after the rains subside, in order to get a peak at the floor boards. I think the passenger door is in great condition, I didn't see any signs of rust on it. But I'll crawl around the car some more next weekend to ensure what I am saying is correct.
I don't really know how to price the car. I am going to ask for $3000.00 on the local Craigslist, but I am willing to negotiate quite a bit, especially if I can pull a few more things off of the car (like the sport steering wheel). But for now I am going to resist taking anymore parts off.
If I cannot sell the car as a whole I will eventually part it out, posting the parts on this site and on EBay.
The car is located in Alabama. Shipping to Louisville KY is a possibility.
Thanks
