79 Oldsmobile Cutlass w/ 408 sbc
1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass
* 408 sbc stroker, lightweight forged rotating assembly,
solid roller cam, lifters and rockers, Lunati bracket race cam w/ .640 lift. RHS 235cc heads, 12.5:1 compression, demon race carb. approximately 600hp. setup for alcohol right now but a carb change away from running race fuel or E85. All MSD ignition w/ 6 AL-2 two step soft touch rev control. Motor was freshly built at the beginning of year and has maybe 15hrs on.
*th400 Transmission w/ transbrake, 4100 stall, built for 750hp. transbrake rev limiter set at 4000rpm.
*Dennys nitrous ready drive shaft balanced and rated to 750hp.
* ford 9" w/ forged yoke, 31 spline moser axles, spool, disc brakes, 3.73 gear
* competition engineering 3way adjustible front and rear shocks. comp engineering springs, lift bars, adjustable upper control arms.
* M/T et street 10.5" wide tires with beads locked
OTHER: I had car at strip and ran 11.9 1/4 mile. Would definately benefit from swapping 3.73 gears to 4.56 gears. I am confident that the car would break into the 10's. Cutlass is street legal. Lots of money and performance parts invested.
